As a part of Potomac Riverkeeper Network’s Trash-Free Potomac Campaign and Alice Ferguson Foundations Trash-Free Initiative, this organization is hosting National Harbor River Cleanup in Alexandria and National Harbor from April until October! Join us to help us tackle the Potomac Rivers trash pollution! Be a part of this amazing event and make the river better than before.
Our National Harbor registration starts at 1 pm and will meet in the parking lot for the National Harbor Carousel. We need volunteers of all ages to help eliminate single-use plastics and trash washed along the bank of the river. Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet and dirty. Do not forget to bring water (in your reusable water bottle, of course) and snacks.
If you have made your mind to attend this event, stay at The Comfort Inn® Oxon Hills, Maryland Hotel. It will make a perfect choice because it is hidden from the road behind a spacious, rich forested area which keeps the nuisance and noise away and provides respite from the city life.
Here, you will get a sea of amenities such as free parking, free continental, and hot breakfast; Complimentary Wi-Fi; free High- Speed Internet, free copier machine in our business center, free local calls, and free weekday newspaper with your free morning coffee.
If you are a fitness lunatic who doesn’t like to disrupt your exercise routine during your travels. Stay in shape using our gym equipment in the hotel’s fitness center or swim some laps at our outdoor pool. Don’t worry about Covid-19 because proper sanitization is done on a regular basis. Social distancing is followed.
